Somebody tell me where "The Thick of It" has been all my life.

Armando Iannucci is just so damned good. The Day Today, I'm Alan Partridge, The Armando Iannucci Shows, and of course The Thick of It are each among the better English language comedy programs you're ever going to encounter, and all highly recommended. I found Time Trumpet somewhat disappointing, but only in the context of his other work. It also has many admirers.

I'm sure you're already well aware of this (coming out here this spring): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQrqMkCuHqA

It was the opening film of the Seattle International Film Festival; that's what got me on this current downloading-and-burning jag. I didn't associate Iannucci with Alan Partridge at first, but as soon as I checked IMDb it all came together for me. I'll be ordering a shitload of Region 2 DVDs, apparently.

Once I became familiar with him, the extent to which his sensibility and voice were evident in Alan Partridge was rather surprising. "The Armando Iannucci Shows" is a particularly extraordinary and inspiring thing (a surreal, existentialist sketch show, not at all in the style of Thick of It, of course).

I just sent an invite to your Gmail account. From this place you will be able to get, quickly and painlessly, most of the British television -- frequently as soon as the same day it airs -- your heart desires.

The Day Today might be the funniest thing I've ever seen on television.

I would say that of nearly all of Chris Morris' work. The guy is outstandingly, intimidatingly great.

You gotta move to the U.K.!

i love this and plan to employ it
in the near future.

thanking you in advance.
